Providence is a Registered Charitable Organization incorporated in Alberta, under the volunteer Board leadership of the Providence Child Development Society. You can find a copy of our federal T3010 return on the Canada Revenue Agency website. Our charitable registration number is 10786 2385 RR0001.

Outcomes – How We Measure Up

Each child receives the necessary specialized health, education and therapeutic interventions. We provide children and families the services of psychologists and pediatricians. We also operate a Community Outreach Program of consultation services to Calgary’s independent kindergartens, day care and day home providers.

We’re committed to the philosophy that early intervention in a child’s life has a dramatic impact on their future. The richness of our entire program is reflected in services that have built in accountability and outcomes that are significant.

  • The average child at Providence will achieve over 80% of their educational and treatment goals.
  • About a quarter of the children will improve to the point where they no longer require funding for their care.
  • This potentially saves society $200,000 per child in special education costs in their school years.
